We collect information needed to operate and improve SolveFire, including:

• Account details, such as your email address, username, and profile information.
• Content you submit, including problem answers, uploads, messages, feedback, and forum posts.
• Competition and platform activity, such as registrations, scores, rankings, and participation records.
• Technical information needed for security and reliability, such as browser, device, and request data.

How we use information

We use this information to provide accounts and competitions, display profiles and rankings, process submissions, protect the platform from abuse, respond to support requests, and understand how the site performs. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and similar technology

SolveFire uses cookies for different purposes. Authentication and security cookies are necessary to keep signed-in accounts secure. Preference cookies can remember settings and, if you accept the cookie notice, your choice. If you decline, we do not store that preference; we clear SolveFire cookies and redirect you away from the platform.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to receive anonymized traffic and performance measurements; these services do not rely on third-party cookies. If you use the embedded Stripe checkout to make a donation, Stripe may set its own cookies for payment processing, fraud prevention, and other purposes described in Stripe's Cookie Policy. You can also remove or block cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of SolveFire may no longer work correctly.

When information is shared

We share information only when necessary to operate SolveFire, comply with law, or protect users and the platform. Our service providers include Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for hosting and anonymous analytics and performance measurements, and Stripe for donation payment processing. Those providers may process information on our behalf under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Public information

Information associated with public platform features—such as your username, profile, rankings, competition results, and public posts—may be visible to other users or visitors. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public content.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide SolveFire, meet legal or safety obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information. You can update some profile information from your account. For other requests, please contact us through the feedback page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as SolveFire evolves. We will post the updated policy here and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
